Default Blown Differential

Hi Guys,

I blew my differential this past Saturday . When it happened, it sounded like the whole car was collapsing. I was in 2nd and I stepped on the gas. I never launched the car, do burnouts or go on the track. I have M/T drag radials.

I ordered a puddymod stage 4 differential . Anyone have suggestions to make the transmission stronger or I should be fine? Can I launch now with the stock transmission? Is the puddymod stage 4 differential strong enough for launches? I am keeping the stock axels so that will hopefully be the weakest link to break which is cheap and easy to replace.

Sorry to hear the bad news but you will be happy with Ben's work.

As for the transmission and not knowing your power level I would say "If it Ain't Broke Don't Fix It". A set of PPG gears or PAR's are going to run you 6-11K and you can buy a lot of transmissions for that price.

Good Luck

I have a stage 3 puddymod diff and have had no problems. I am sure that tranny or driveshafts are next to go...
