Default blue smoke at idle

Well i've been getting blue smoke at idle at random times for the last couple of days since i've changed my oil. It would idle fine no smoke at all then it would smoke blue smoke. When i'm cruising it would stop smoking, at WOT it would be fine and just shoot black smoke b/c i'm running rich. After i've stop it would be fine at idle for a little bit then it would smoke a while after idling.

My oil drain line feeds back into the front of the oil pan, which some people says might cause it to restrict at idle b/c of backpressure.

Manifold is a inlinepro mani with a turbonectics 60-1 watercooled turbo with like 3k on it now so its basically new.

I also did the supra PCV valve to prevent boost from entering the crankcase.

have you pulled your charge pipes to see if they are layered in oil?

Sounds like the oil return is either kinked, or the tube sags a bit lower than the drain bolt. Try shortening the oil return, or drill your girdle!

the seals in your turbo are blown. It needs to be remanufactured.

See if you have any oil caked/baking in the downpipe. I am not a technical guy, but from what I understand, the oil seals in a turbo are stronger under boost, so you wont see any at WOT, just at idle.

I have blown two turbos in my life, and they had the exact same symtoms as you describe.

If that is the case a reman is only a few hundred. I have had good luck with Majestic Turbo in Waco Texas.

so either shorten the oil return or set it so it doesnt sag below the oil return fitting on the oil pan, or tap your girdle! You may have blown the oil seals, but do this first, so as to prevent a useless rebuild when it was just oil return placement issues!

man the smoke is starting to get worse and worse... I'm thinking my seals are gone!!!

HOpefully when i tap the girdle it would stop the smoke and prevent me from having to have my seals replaced...

Damn i hate downtime!!!

I hate to say this, but you'll probably want to do a compression check. That'll at least help you diagnose if the oil is coming from the turbo of the motor.
