Thanks all for the welcome and support. The car is outstanding and I am still scratching my head on the deal I got.

I'm going to get the aftercooler listed here if it's still available. If not, I'll find another or have one built to suit. I am seriously considering dropping the pulley to get to +/- 10lbs of boost. From everything I've read this still safe for the long term.

If a boost jump will get into my pocket too much I'll wait. But if it's just injectors and tuning cost, I am all in!!! I do not want to get into changing the computer unless I find a really good deal.

My kids are teenagers now so the kid's sports and stuff is really slowing down. I can finally have a hobby of my own again and I think I've found it. SCCA is pretty active here and I think autocross would be a blast. With a modified car, I doubt I could be competitive in the class with my car, but that's okay. My car and I could get a little better over time.

Any thoughts on upping the boost would be appreciated. We'll see what the shop says next week.

If you were to up boost it would probably be best to move to a stand alone ems (AEM for instance). You may also need a fuel pump to accomodate the upgraded injectors. It all depends on what you have currently.

Alright, I bought the aftercooler that was for sale here, also got the upgraded heat exhanger. Should have it in a couple days.

I've been reading and learning about what I have and what can be done. Not as complicated as I thought. Definitely going to move ahead on upping the boost to 9 to 10 lbs. I'll keep my eyes out for a good deal on a standalone and pick up a set of ID 1000 injectors. The 1000's are too big for my first step, but it I haven't found any negatives for using them at my target boost. I figure I go ahead and get them now to make any future upgrades simpler and less expensive.

Also learned my DC Sport header / exhaust isn't very well liked. But, changing it isn't going to yield any significant gains. Upgrading this is a low priority. I'll consider a change when I hear something else I like. The cat with be replaced with a test pipe though - no inspections in Alabama.

I am hoping these few changes will get me at least 350 to 360 rwhp.

Car is in the shop now getting the sidewinder installed, a general checkup and a base dyno run. I may set the record low for a FI car on this forum - at least for the past few years. I will post the unspectacular results.

Thanks all for the support and suggestions.

Awesome! You are definately making the right moves. Why not jump right to a 12psi pulley? ID1000 will work for just about any boost level you pick. I do not know too much abot aftermarket headers but I do know that the OEM one is damn good. You can find those pretty cheap ($150 or so) and I bet you it will out perform what you have now.

to make the most of your setup you will need an after cooler, id 1000 cc injectors, aem ems, a smaller puller for 10-12psi of boost and a custom tune.

Because I am old enough to know better...

I've owned many fun and fast cars, bikes (dirt and street) and racing caliber atv's. A handful were quicker / faster, but I've never owned anything that had such an awesome blend of power and handling. My little S is a new and different animal. I quickly caught up to where the car is now, but if I overcook it too fast... trouble. I am a 45 year old kid with just enough common sense to know how to pace myself.

I am having a blast just taking the kids' friends for rides around the neighborhood. Tight roads, 90 degree turns at 30 mph or so with a just a wee bit of drift. Too much fun. Yep, definitely trouble if I juice it too fast. For now, I am the coolest dad ever!!!

There's an autocross event here this weekend I'm going to enter just to help me learn the car a bit better. It will be a first for me and it'll be a blast.

Gorgeous car. Congrats! The S2000 can be crazy fast if you turn up the boost high enough.

If you want to find some shops that are more familiar with these cars, there are several in Atlanta.

TopSpeed in Alpharetta (north of ATL) has tuned many S2000's. They have a great reputation as a tuner, and reasonable prices.

Forged Performance in Marietta (northwest of ATL) has tuned S2000's as well.

Alan Cox Automotive in Marietta specializes in repairs/maintenance for Honda vehicles and has worked on many local S2000's.

Blake Automotive in Suwanee is another equally good repair shop, but a bit farther away from you.

I have used all of these shops over the past years.

The autocross will be insanely fun. The cirst time I went my car was pretty much stock and I had an absolute blast. It was also 30F haha. I wished their were some oil drums with a good fire for the guys while working the course. Have fun!

First Dyno results - 271 / 170. Zero tuning or adjustments, just a benchmark. Not really surprised by the 271, but disappointing lines. Any insight appreciated.

It's over 50whp from stock. It's fine. Needs some tweaking that's all for stock kit not bad at all. Don't be down on those numbers.
