I heard exactly the opposite. I was told that most of the fancy electronic boost controllers don't hold boost as well as a manual. The advantage is they let it hit max boost sooner. Just what I was told, never had a boost controller my self.

I've always heard that electronic BC give you a better boost curve..

I've been running the profec but on dyno day i disconnected and ran a manual boost controller because the Profec is a PITA to get the boost where you want it.

Greddy reps don't even know themselves what the hell they are talking about.

but with the Greddy when i got it to work I got 1psi creep. With the manual I am getting 2.3psi creep

Boost controllers are useless if you are trying to boost below what the stock wg spring is set at. For instance if I'm boosting 7 psi and wanted to get 6, it would be impossible to achieve with a boost controller because boost controllers can only raise the boost on the already existent wg spring.

I was actually suggesting you removing the boost controller all together or at least disconnecting the hoses just to be sure.

Yeah I would take the bc out altogether and see if that helps. If that doesn't work I would suspect the wastegate spring.

There is not much you can do about it. Every GT1 kit out there with a garrett GT turbo has the same creep issues. You can either live with the creep, or tune the boost up the the highest point (in your case around 10psi).

10 psi is not a good idea. A really good tune may give some longevity but I don't know of anyone that has lots of boosted miles and has had the motor last. I don't understand why you guys are having boost creep with your manifolds. I had no boost creep with my Full-Race set-up when I drove it in Vegas last year after the wastegate was fixed.

I really don't think you will have a problem at 10psi. The only failure I have heard of that was boost related was a cracked sleeve and that happened at 26psi if I remember correctly. When I get back from my vacation I am putting my car back on the dyno and am going to go to 20psi. This is with a 2mm mind you, but that's still a higher effective comp ratio than 10psi on stock. I'll let you know how it turns out.
