Default Boost creep questions for those aiming for 500hp track/street setups

Anyone here with a Smaller turbo change their exhaust to 3 inches after mid catback and notice any differences with boost creep and back pressure? If so what was noticed?

And anyone that played around with their Vtech setting to a different RPM, have you noticed any changes to the health of the engine?

Im thinking about testing some things out and was curious if anyone has some useful insight possibly.

Lots of information here the past 25 years regarding exhaust flow in different diameter exhausts and the effects on flow where diameter changes disrupt the flow. My takeaway from these has been to minimize diameter changes and try to keep a smooth, constant flow.

Not sure how to measure the health of my 3600rpm Vtech VTEC AP2 engine but all seems well the past 10 years. Normally aspirated. Normal maintenance. A blower will put more stress than lowering VTEC which really only affects mid-range power.

Let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the input, especially with your personsl knowledge on changes when Vtech kicks in, im making a list of things to do and test when i have the time . I'm aiming for the same thing with a smooth consistent flow without crazy or no drop off in the ranges of 10-15 pounds of boost.

When I test I'll come back if I don't forget. Thanks Chuck
