Default boost by gear recommended settings

This might be an ambiguous question to answer,
but what do you think should be the recommended boost by gear levels for my setup for each map?

basically I will be doing boost by gear with flashpro and setting two maps-
1.one for regular driving,
2. one for racing/track

- I should be in the 550whp-650whp range
- I have a stock block other than my AF toda springs/retainers/and tensioner
- I'm on E85
- I will be running Mickey Thompson drag radials on 16's for racing/track and falken 452s on 18's for regular driving.
- my compression ratio will be a tiny bit higher than 11:1 because of the valve I've had done
- I have 4.10 gears with the puddymod stage 4 diff.
(build thread in sig)

what do you think the boost setting should be for each gear for track use and regular use?

1st gear...?
2nd gear...?
3rd gear...?
4th gear...?
5th gear...?
6th gear...?

Well 3rd gear and up you should be on full power

And it should go by traction for 1 and 2, so that depends on the rest of your setup

E85 here 570whp I use 12psi first, 15psi 2nd and let it rip 3rd on up. Only slight spin on 2nd gear for me.

Nobody is going to have the right answer, b/c 12psi on one setup does not equal 12 psi on another setup in terms of power. Not to mention the suspension/tire setup is going to be different and also when the power comes on.

All you can do, is set a boost level and go out and try it. It's going to be alot of trial and error to fine tune it to your specific setup.

When you get it, post video, lol.

yea, I figured this would be a broad question, but it is interesting to see the other setups and info out there. i'll have to experiment with 2nd and 1st I guess.

I guess I'll plan on boosting max to 18psi (maybe 19), 3rd and up on my race/track map, and 15psi 3rd and up on my regular driving map.

1st and 2nd will be the mysteries for now. i'll mess with the traction so we'll see. thanks

Why have a race map vs regular map if using same fuel?

for different boost settings, since I'll be controlling boost by flashpro...
Its really not neccessary but it would just be for safety.
When I floor the car messing around during daily driving, I would like to know I'm at a safe, conservative boost limit instead of having to worry about it manually so i can still have fun without having to adjust my driving style. I wouldn't want to push it all the time- just when racing.

I baby my car.

Just have the same e85 map but lower the boost to 16psi or so for daily driving then. I would still run boost by gear for your setup regardless of your max boost level. I will obviously depend on your wheel and tire setup as one member pointed out. I would experiment with 1 and 2 setting so you can hook up.

Sounds like "turbor" old setup. Must be a fun ride.
