Default Boost + VSA

Could't find a topic where this was discussed.

Looking for ACTUAL experiences of people with DBW 2006-2009 cars who are BOOSTED.

how well does the oem VSA stability system and traction control work when you are boosted (400ish whp)...

Planning on boosting my 06 and would like to know if this could remain fully active and working!

Let's hear some real experiences please!

I have an '06 with the KW kit and Hondata making about 420 whp.

VSA works just as well boosted as when not boosted except that it works a LOT more often . I track the car and usually have VSA on while tracking. It does just as good a job boosted as it did before I was boosted.

In short, VSA works the same boosted or not.

It "works", but is hilariously insufficient for a boosted car. It's really just there to tell you that you're exceeding the grip of the tires than doing you any favors really. If you go full standalone though, you lose VSA.

I've had it just about cut power before and make the car bog like crazy. I typically turn it off if I'm getting on it.

Anyone have Aem v2? My vsa light is on and I'm wondering if it has to do with the fact that I'm running Aem v2. I just had a engine swap done.

I've got an '07 that I drove initially with 380 and then 430hp turbo. It works. The VSA IMHO is not nearly the quality of that in my Volvo and other cars but it did an adequate job boost or no boost.

It is fun to turn if off on a cold day with damp roads and summer tires and to have some power slide fun but be careful.

Sounds great, that was all i needed to know!

Thanks! Love the vsa though. Fantastic in the rain. Saved me already a couple of spins in the winter! I love to go boosting again and i feel like that vsa is a big bonus to have. ( regarding safety )

On a track i can simply switch it off.

With flashpro it is very intrusive and seems to work very well in keeping me from getting out of shape. I can't get any type of sideways with it turned on, it kills the timing and power drowwwnnnnsss..
