we did a garrett 3082r on an inline mani and built cp piston 9:1 comp. engine. if i remember correctly we had trouble making power past 20 psi. we made about 430 or so on 23psi pump gas and only made 480 something on 28 psi with q16. this was also with the e cover so i think the small 2" outlet makes a restriction compared to the full sized cover with the 2.5" outlet.
this e cover your talking about tell me more about this 2in cover and 2.5 cover plz. but basiclly the mani is my bottle neck right.

You have not told us what turbo you have exactly, so really unless you give more detailed info we cant help you. The manifold is holding back about 40-50whp from a full tubular topmount/bottom mount/sidewinder.

a GT3082 is the same thing I have GT3076R but it has a larger 82mm compressor wheel. Its a turbo thats not used very often, and one I dont believe you have. You need to take pics because that doesnt tell us much. sorry man

Ok, here is how garrett does the naming of their turbos...

GT = Ball bearing
30 = The family of turbos ( turbine wheel inducer )
76 or 82(your case) = the exducer of the compressor wheel ( the large side of the compressor wheel )

So when you say GT3082 what you are saying is you have a garrett ball bearing, 30 series turbine and a 82 mm compressor.

So what you have is no infact a gt3082....you have a 76mm compressor in a B housing ( im guessing ) with a .82 a/r turbine housing. The turbine housing does not mean you have a 3082 just because the turbine says .82 thats different all toghether.

Your turbo is maxed out around 425whp, maybe 450whp. Take a picture of the compressor housing, that will tell more. Hope you understand all this.
