Bov
i would think any bov would work great, just depends on what brand you prefer. A lot of people like the greddy type rs and the hks ssqv. If I ever change my inline pro bov I may get the hks
I suspect though that no matter which way you go you will have to weld in a flange to make it work. As for the type r bov I am not too sure what the specs are on it.

That's odd. I had it working fine, then when I messed up the hose routing, Synapse fixed the problem very quickly. Looking at the photos on the inlinepro kit, the pipe going into the throttle body is where I have mine....looks like it's the same "technically" as the greddy kit. 2 nipples are connected to the vacuum block, and the side one is connected to an intercooler pipe. Works exactly as advertised. Maybe your's was defective?
Its just the placement of the bov on the IP kit. Being that its on the compressor side some surge will result with this bov.

Well I went through with it and bought the GREDDY TYPE R bov w/stiff spring. I will inform on how it does. I have not been able to get any reviews.
