Default BOV on supercharger--rice?

I know of a few people who have a BOV on their supercharger. I have mixed feelings as to whether that is rice or not. Can you please provide me with your opinion?

I actually thought about it, but decided against it. I kind of like being in stealth mod.

I think it would be ricey if I was to have a different BOV welded on to my kit just for sound.

Who cares if its rice or not. If you like the sound of a BOV then go for it. It serves a purpose, but its just that the same thing can be accomplished with the stock bypass valve, so it just comes down to whether or not you like the whoosh or the pssssst.

Great feedback thus far!

I went ahead and pulled the trigger--I ordered a Tial BOV.

^ Nice choice. I'm not sure how the sound of the Tial on a SC'er compares to that of a turbo setup, but I like mine a lot. Its much more subtle then other BOV's where it just releases a big koosh that isn't very loud, but sounds mean.

i voted yes.. blow off valves belong on turbocharged cars where they serve a purpose... if you want one for your SC that's fine but you may as well just get this :

It is my understanding that boost is boost, and regardless if you have a turbo or supercharger you still want to be able to purge the air from the intake manifold before it enters the cylinders.
