BOV swop on Vortech V2 SCi
Hi guys. I like the current Maxflow Race BOV my V2 came with but, wouldn't mind something a little more...dramatic. I read that HKS SSQV might not necessarily work well with this setup as it is unable to remain open when not under WOT which is necessary for the V2 setup. Does Tial work identically to the stock Vortech BOV the kit came with? How about GReddy? What BOV gives an almost turbo wastegate type of "staggered" sound (if that's even possible from just a BOV)?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Read my sig for my setup.
my v2 kit came with the factory bypass valve with an 8psi spring inside and it made a similar sound to a wastegate. only downfall was that i can feel the car being sluggish when i would hit boost and let off throttle anywhere below 7psi, due to all that air being forced to go back towards the supercharger. currently have the tial 50mm bov and it sounds badass when you're cruising or WOT, but annoying af when you're driving long distances and you feel like your car is about to take off at the airstrip
Looking at making 16 or so psi @Sideways I heard that the Tial BOV is annoying on long trips in particular. Can imagine the sound is pretty damn good though! I saw a pic of an HKS SSQV on the after cooler of a Vortech. Perhaps that's a custom mount. If my current race BOV from Vortech accomodates that much boost then I'm happy to leave it as is.
