You can't just say that and then not elaborate. Tell us about your setup and how reliable it's been. How many miles do you have running that much boost? That's crazy!

I said it like that for a reason, it's no better or worse than saying "i run xx psi on a xx headgasket" without knowing everything about your setup (most importantly fuel which nobody has mentioned yet) Trying to say an F20c is good for xxPSI on xxCR is pointless, if you have good knock detection (knockbox or JS safegaurd) and a good tuner you can easily get away with 20-22psi on pump gas and obviously much higher on race gas. Of course that assumes your going to pay attention to your car and check logs on a fairly regular basis since you don't have much room for change.

A thick headgasket is a bad bandaid you sacrifice combustion chamber design most importantly your quench area which plays a huge roll in knock control and combustion efficiency.

To be perfectly honest I don't have many miles on the motor but pretty much every mile I have has been hard, been to the drag strip a few times on the dyno for days (literally) and on the street on occasion, I run an ethanol blend and will soon be going to the road course running ~28psi on a stock motor from valve cover to oil pan to see if it can take it. Can't really give a mileage estimate as I have no odometer.

thanks , jepp im thinking of just going stock and pulling like 8psi-9psi first ...

sins we got 98 and 99 octain on pumps here ill think ill be alot safer , for in US you only got 93 pump gas ???

and i will go down on the timing so thats not to hard !

psi dossent kill .......Detonation kills...!

Warning. The gas mentioned as 93 octane in the states is actually as good or sometimes even better than the gas we have here in sweden/norway. A tuner told me the US gas have some additions that prevents knocking etc. He had tried both. The numbers cant be directly compared.

The US octane ratings are an average of MON and RON figures: (MON + RON)/2 and are typically 5 lower than the European RON only number.

i.e. Euro 98 Octane is approx USA 93 Octane.

so there is nothing diffrent in the gas in usa then in europa ...
just the way they messure it

So there is notthing diffrent stuff in the gas you can tell youre tuner

Wow Momentum thanks for spewing lots of irreverent information into this thread. I think he asked how much boost was a 2mm head gasket good for, not how much boost you were running on your stock hg. If you feel like bragging about your car, go start your own thread where you can state cool facts like I boosted my stock motor to xx psi, im sooo cool, please be my friend.

Anyway, it seems like there has been lots of head gasket haters on this site lately. I think its because some people have been making lots of power with stock hg, which is fine for those who can get tuned at the best tuners, are rich enough to run race gas all the time or don
