Default Broken axle

So I took my s2000 to the track last night and only made it about 5 feet. I have raced it before and ran a 12.8 at 111. I am curious if this is a problem I am going to run into alot or am I one of the unlucky ones? I did a search and found a few people with broken axles but I didnt find much info on it. Thanks for the help guys.

Well I can buy alot of stock axles for the price of the inline kit ha. I was just curious if I should start bringing them to the track with me or if breaking the axles is pretty rare.

What RPM did you launch and what type of power are you making? After how long has it resisted?

You might want to buy a set of axles with a lifetime warranty and carry them with you when you hit the track. This way you can break the axle and get free replacements.

My friend carries a set with him, so when he breaks axles in his 500hp civic he can just switch them out and go back to Napa and exchange the ones he breaks.

Im not sure of the power I still need to get on a dyno. Last time I raced it was 80 degrees and I was trapping in the 111-112 range to give you an idea of power. It is just a vortech setup. I launched it at 5500 rpms it grabbed went about 5 feet and then it was rev limiter and grinding.

As far as the rear goes its stock and I have launched it prolly 20 times at the track and alot on the street. I replaced the axle today I had an extra just not with me at the track.
