Calling EMS experts
I was going to go in for a tune to correct some issues with my emanage on a mild SC application, but thought maybe it is time to upgrade. I know nothing about EMS and have done a few searches, and if there is an EMS for Dummies thread, I can not find it.
So here is what I want to know:
Which EMS platform works best? (I thought there were a couple out there, is the 1052 the best for the S?)
I have a PLX wideband, and boost module. Will they work with the ems or do I need to re-buy and install new stuff?
What do I need besides the unit?
Is it a plug and play with the stock wiring?
Any things that I need to know that are S2000 specific?
Will I lose anything, like guage functionality in the dash?
Basically, there is a tuner who is supposedly an expert, and very good with EMS and if I could buy what I need for a grand, I might pull the trigger.
Any additional info appreciated and any links to a good thread helpful.

1: Plenty of threads here, just keep hunting
2: Ditch the e-manage, and be happy.
3: Consult your tuner, use what he/she is comfortable with <---- Pay attention to that one
4: The AEM series 2 box(all gauges work with series 2) is very, very popular, and is completely PnP
Per your location, you are in MN....so is LJ and FullBlown, seems like a simple choice to me.
FWIW, I have the Haltech platinum PnP and absolutely LOVE it.
EDIT: answer the poster above me first. If yes, see #5
#5 Hondata KPRO will allow you to pass a state regulated emissions inspection, as it retains the factory ECU (similar to your emanage, but miles better) but requires a few sensors to be swapped over to RSX style, as well as a few other parts to work 100%

I had AEM EMS 1052-U for 2 years. I had an issue with partial throttle that I couldn't resolve (very important for cornering at my local tracks)), among other very small hiccups that most people can ignore. I switched to K-Pro last year and I wouldn't have it any other way.
For K-Pro you need the whole kit, plus the OEM RSX Parts (00-05 Model). For a wideband you can remove the factory secondary o2 because you wont need it and place the wideband in its place. Practically any wideband you choose will work with the K-Pro, anything voltage range whether its 0-5volt or 0-4volt.
Plus, Hondata is just about to release the traction control kit for K-Pro!
