Can Comptech kits still be purchased?

Default Can Comptech kits still be purchased?

I've been reading a lot into S/Cs for S2000s and decided on trying to find a comptech kit. But where can you purchase them? I read that the company went under..

They are re-testing their kits right now as they have changed the blower to the Novi 1220 from the 1000. Nate told me the AP2 DBW kits will be available Jan08 or so. As for the rest of the kits (AP1 and AP2 non-DBW), they too will have the upgraded blowers, but I have no idea as to their time frame for re-release.

As Andy said, go to the Comptech and call them up for more info

You can pick up a used Comptech in the FS forum no problem, and get a deal in the process.

That's because very few if any DBW AP2 Comptech kits were even built or sold.

Comptech's door closed for a few months just as the DBW kit was introduced.

Someone told me that there were less than 10 AP2 DBW (maybe under 5) kits produced before they shut down last spring...so I doubt we'll see any for sale on the used forums. The reorg plus their recent move to Gold River/R.C. and their website re-design are slowing down the re-introduction of the SC kits...hurry up - I want my kit!

Exactly. Less than 10 DBW kits vs the 100's of AP1-AP2 kits sold.

If you have a DBW car you should be looking at a a Kraftwerks/Rotrex kit.

If you have a pre DBW car now is the time to get a Vortech or Comptech used at a significant discount.

I'm thinking about both DBW kits...but since Comptech is 15 mins away from me, and Shad, who helped develop the CTSC kit will be doing the install, is just around the corner at Driving Ambition, I'm leaning towards CT...

Is the Kraftwerks kit CARB legal yet? I haven't waded through that 600+ post thread in a while...plus what is it going to cost and do you have to tap the oil pan? I'm obviously being very lazy on combing through the Kraftwerks thread...
