Default Cant boost past 6 psi....

What suggestions do you guys have. There is no boost leak and no exhaust leak. All vacuum lines are routed properly. I am running the Greddy Profec B Spec 2 boost controller and have messed with the SET setting in intervals from 0-100% with no change. Is it possible the boost control valve got messed up?

I am also running the Greddy EVO2 exhaust. Is it possible it is too restrictive? It's a 70mm dual.

Thanks!!!

Remove/bypass the boost controller, and see if it will boost up on the spring (assuming the spring is lower than your tune).

That will diagnose whether its in the controller, or not.

I am not familiar with the Greddy Profec controller... Does it have a "spring" setting, like the AEM boost control solenoid? I am assuming you have a gauge that can read boost from the MAP sensor?

what did u boost before the profec b. internal or external wastegate? if external, what is the spring psi ? did u verify all lines are def run correctly?

a dual 70mm flows plenty.

I was planning on on just disconnecting the boost control valve to see if in fact that is the problem. I'll try this tomorrow and report back. Wierd thing is my wastegate spring is a 7.25 psi do I dont know why I'm not seeing that...

Also, pull the wastegate and see if it is stuck / sticking.

So I disconnected the boost controller and am actually getting about 6.5 psi now. Pretty sure the boost control valve crapped out. I'll be calling Greddy tomorrow to see if there is any warranty on it. If not, I'll be using the GM selenoid and controlling boost via KPRO

Still sounds low, if you indeed have a 7.25psi spring... I would pull the WG, remove the spring, and see if the valve is sticking at all. I had the same spring on my 38mm WG, and I was seeing ~7.5psi consistently (on my first setup).

I actually did this already before putting it on again. Valve was not sticking and the ring was sealing properly. I believe maybe its because Im recirculating the dumptube

I was actually seeing more boost on my previous setup. However, I was running a full 3 inch single exhaust and the dumptube was recirculated further downstream on the downpipe. Now I have the dual 70mm

Are you sure the boost solenoid was plumbed correctly? I know the first time I installed it, I had the lines backwards causing incorrect boost.
