Im not looking to break records or anythin. Im just wanting that little more power.

This post just shows how little research you've done. Kraftwerks is not a roots blower, it's centrifugal as well but it's a roterex made unit instead of novi. The roterex blower turns at a much higher rpm than the novi blowers which makes it more similar to a turbo but still not even close.

As for putting stress on the motor, it's fully forged internally stock from factory. You don't need to bother changing anything inside until you're making crazy power. People daily the car 600+ hp on totally stock motors. If you only want about 400hp then a turbo with a quality manifold injectors/fuel pump and ems will get you the power with far less effort and less boost. The tune is the key to having reliability, don't skimp on it.

I'm at 430whp with a gt3076 at 10psi. Impossible to attain with a SC at that boost level. Turbo spools at 3800-4000, mash the gas out of a corner anything above that rpm in the right gear and its a rocket.

Hey SlickRed what's new? I'm in the same boat as you. I think I'm going to try and save some cash to get in the next SOS group buy next year. I was thinking bout getting the stage 2 system.

Thanks everyone for Explaining and all the help here. It's truly appreciated.

I understand that you can't compare a supercharger to a turbo. Two different stories. But I just don't want to deal with constant tinkering that a turbo requires. This is my first time boosting so I want to take it slow and learn more about it but I have a feeling I might be going t/c after.

STARMAN: I've seen many threads where people will make 400whp with the novi 1000 with a really good tune.

GP_nfr06: Hey what's going on man . I said I wouldn't
Boost but here I am now haha. I ended up getting the ct kit just because of the great price I got it for. If I end up wanting more later I'll maybe get the 1200 blower with the SOS kit for it.

If you think that you might want to upgrade I can tell you right now go for the novi 1200.. Ive just upgraded from the 1220 and the novi 1200 makes a lot more power at the same boost pressure..

If you go the 1200 you can start off with a big pulley and then work ur way down, that way you don't have to spend money twice in changing blowers.

OP you might regret you decision once you try and take it to the track or do a roll on the Highway. It's sad how people are so miss informed. I'm tired of hearing how a turbo is less reliable then a S/C. BOOST IS BOOST BOTH BUT A STRAIN ON THE MOTOR. The only difference is a turbo produces more heat. When you go with a S/C you're pretty much saying "hey my cars cool because I have a supercharger" not because it's fast. Let me know how well you do with cars at meets that are boosted BUT with a turbo. Like I said before I can't wait to actually get rid of my S/C, to make some really power and to be able to hang with reputable cars.

Ive never heard of people saying "Damn turbos, glad I switched to a super charger" Its always people jumping ship from SC to turbo. Never heard of people going the other direction.

Im making 430whp at 10psi. more power usable at lower revs with a lot less boost. Turbo > SC
