car is bogging at 5k with CTSC
so i just got my CTSC aftercooled running today. got in the car and started driving nicely at first to warm it up. i have not hit vtec yet, because i have noticed the car is bogging pretty hard somewhere between 5 and 6k. can't figure out why, but my resources are a little limited.
FYI, i'm running the stock pulley with the stock fmu. the belt is tight (this is not my first CTSC experience!) and all fuel lines are good. i cant see smell or feel any leaks. the only thing that is different this time is i'm using a synapse missing link instead of the ESM, but i have not thrown any codes yet so i'm not sure that's the problem. i unfortunately do not have a bung welded in for my wideband so i cannot read AFR's just yet (i'm waiting for my HFC with a bung welded in it to come in the mail)
any ideas?

yes, stock injectors and a walbro 255. i will check my vac lines for problems. my main concern is that fuel delivery is insufficent and the car is leaning out dangerously. will come back with an update later
ESM ftw!
i started toying with the missing link. first i took out the little filter thing that it came with, and the car died every time it tried to go back to idle.
then i came up with the idea of reversing the missing link 180 degrees, as the fitting was unidirectional. that barely got me home around the corner!
i decided if this stupid little contraption was so sensitive and dependent on a little rubbery filter that it was probably not the best thing. so i yanked that and soldered in the ESM. so far so good, the car does not bog at all and makes boost with no problems at all. i am still a little nervous about jumping up to redline without my wideband so i was putting the brakes on at about 7k for now.
but all is well, thanks for the suggestions!

yeah widebands FTW!! Couldn't live without it. probably the single best gauge to own when FI. I would have blown my car up if I didn't have it. I had to crank my fpr all the way down to get it proper. Thats not the setting the fpr was in when I got it, know what i'm sayin
what really bothers me the most was how the missing link just plain did not work for me. i know many people have been successful with it, so i'm trying to think of things i might have done wrong. on the other hand, the install is child's play so i can't find a way to have screwed it up!
