How do you know its not the battery? Because the dome lights and radio work?
When my battery died, everything was working, even the head lights. But it was still a dead battery. Apparently our S2000 requires and huge jolt of power to get the engine to turn over, so even a weak battery is dead to the S2000.
If you haven't done it already, get a meter and actually measure the out put first. Battery is still the cheapest place to start trouble shooting before you get into more expensive parts related to startup.

the weird thing is everything worked fine. i took the car to a muffler shop to get it installed, then when they put the car down it wouldnt start??? i had to roll it to turn it on so i could get home...
Yeah, don't see why a muffler shop would need to get under the hood to do any wiring. That doesn't make sense.
It might be that your battery was already on the low side, and while at the shop, they left your key in the ignition, and on the accessory mode, which then drain the battery even further.
When I replaced my battery last year, I had the exact same experience as you now. Everything in my car that is electrical was working, but the engine won't start. So I was positive that it wasn't the battery. But then I'm came to this board and ask the same question as you, I was told that it was the battery. So i spend $60, swapped it, and everything was fine after that.
I would just take your battery out and take it into a shop to have them checked out.

No sure. But I can tell you that batteries for the S2000 is very Unique. When I bought mine at NAPA, they literally only had one battery that was made for the S2000, I didn't have a choice but to buy that one.
Try searching for the cranking amps, you might be able to find it here.

Look at your grounds!!! Even if they are connected...they maybe a little loose. My ground bolt from the front subframe to the engine block was one and a half turns loose and it caused this problem!
Good luck.
