Definitely the battery. When mine died, everything worked but it wouldn't crank at all. Thought it was something much more serious

not the battery, the ground on the starter was loose! figured it out after removing the bolts from the starter...

Good for you! I had the same thing happen to me with my '96 'tegra a while back, wouldn't crank. it was a bad ground after all.
