To Catch Can or Not?
When I was NA, I used to run the same catch can as pictured below:

When installed my SOS SC about a month ago, I disconnected it.
Should I run/use it with the SC? The reason I ask is because a member back in the day stopped running it when he installed a SC because he felt that the white filter which hangs down restricts the flow from the valve cover to the intake manifold, and that leaving it in it will eventually clog up from the oily vapor and work poorly. I want to say he stopped using a catch can altogether.
Thoughts?

I use to run one on my f20, N/A and FI. I did it because I thought it was reducing oil burning. It collected some oil and it also leaked out the catch can and I got tired of the mess. When I went to the f22 I never put it back in and don't see any reason to. The tolerances on the F22 are tighter anyway, I don't think there is as much blow by as the f20's.
The ap2’s have a better pvc valve also, so preventing possible boost pressure back in the crank isnt as much of an issue either, not that it is at less then high boost levels anyway. I just run a filter on the front breather and leave the pvc stock.

Thats funny. I ran around with this setup for about 4 years with no problems except the cracked bowl also, but it still kept working and didnt leak. i have since switch to a open to atmosphere catch can and eliminated my PCV alltogether.

This yr I switched to a real catch can vented to atmosphere.

To the OP let me ask you this, if most are collecting that little why would you even want to mess with it? I could see it being needed if you were collecting a jar full in a hundred miles or during a race but that small amount of oil is not going to cause any performance losses. In fact the added restriction with the system could slight increase the blocks internal pressure, not that it would be noticeable either but you want the smallest amount of restriction as you can get.
