CDV, to keep it or not?
So, I dont dump the clutch, or powershift, so not sure if it will matter, but I do notice when I drag race, it just feels sloppy and not as crisp as I would like. Will removing the CDV put anymore stress on the tranny?
I have a CC Stage 4 clutch and 11lb CC flywheel

I asked Tony@T1 about this a while back. He said keep it and added that they retrofitted one to the race car. I'm guessing to make the shifts smoother and more consistent.
People that say it's cool to remove it so you can chirp the 2-3 shift confuse me. Accelerating hard out out of a corner would you rather break traction or slip the clutch a little?

But I have to say in Joeys special case for what he is doing, it might very well prolong the life of his trans with the power he is at. If he isn't burning up the clutch becuase of his slower predictable shifts, the CDV will offer a bit of cush.

cdv-clutch delay valve. Located in the clutch slave cylinder on ap2's. Restricts the flow of fluid out of the slave, designed to cushion the engagement of the clutch to counteract the increased weight of the ap2 flywheel. Most people remove it to make the shifting quicker. Has been known to cause early clutch failure especially with stock clutches. I never had a problem with it using puck style clutches, but i removed mine when I went to a dual friction clutch. No complaints with it gone.
CDV = Clutch delay valve. Only found on AP2's. It smooths out the flow of the hydraulic clutch fluid on engagement/ disengagement. Most people hate it because you can't feather the clutch or "drop" it like you can without it.

, hence my 11.7 @ 132 with a 1.9 60ft, lol
