Thumbs down Changing engine compression ratio with e-manage

Hey guys I was wondering if I need to retune my engine. It was recently rebuilt and I had the compression ratio changed to 9.6:1 from stock compression. Is this going to affect driveability at all (can I drive it the way it is)? I want to get it tuned soon just not sure where yet. Will it even start up and move around once I get it back in there? Im not gonna go around beating on it. I just don't want to throw away a 3500 overhaul and wait another 8 weeks for another one.

greddy turbo setup
laskey rebuilt motor
greddy e-manage blue
del cats and resonators (might put them back on)

you should def take it to a tuner and get at least the e-manage ultimate for your setup. there are a couple aem ems on the fs section for round 900-1000$

Why not ditch the greddy kit for something else. Your going to loose hp with the greddy kit and low compression (or at best break even).

you have a built motor. Sell the greddy kit and get something bigger!

I was suffering from detonation before. My goals are to make it as street-friendly as possible. 350-400 WHP. I enjoyed the level of power that I had previously. Can I start it up the car and drive it around safely? I bought the kit with the turbo put on already. I know the lower compression ratio allows some breathing room in the tune, but I don't wanna damage anything and would ultimately defeat the main goal. I wanna get the e-manage ultimate, but wanna get the engine back in the car first. Another question: Should I get a MAP sensor? does it connect to the e-manage or just the ecu?

Thanks

Josh

350-400 is absolutely impossible on the greddy kit

highest I have seen was 317, and I think that was prettymuch maxxed out.

the turbo just can't flow enough for the efficiency and high RPM operation of our motors.

I'm pretty sure that It is the greddy kit. I know for a fact it has the t3/t4 turbo on it.

If I did get a bigger or better turbo, I would have bigger than 550 injectors right?

if it has a T3/T4 I don't think it's a greddy kit, the turbo on the greddy is tiny. sounds like you have a custom kit.

however, if it is the greddy you have to change more than just the turbo to make good power, the greddy comes with tiny IC and plumbing all around. it's good for what it was made for, but anything over 350 on the plumbing would be pushing it I would think.

I can't believe you thought you had a Greddy kit. Greddy kits come with a Greddy turbo, not a T3/T4.
