Chasis/differential mods on FI over 400hp?
I never once launched my 500whp s2000 ap1.
After an exotics meet and a lot of beating on my car (flooring it in 1st through third etc, but never launching it from a stop) my diff started to whine. it was a slight whine but it was deff. audible.
Then a week or so later I floored it in first, shifted into second it grabbed and then shredded second gear.
So some are lucky some aren't. I don't have my car anymore and I don't know who bought it so I'm not sure how it is holding up now.

IMO the diff will break down over time. You can go with a puddy mod or or the inline pro mods. Or you can just replace it as needed when it breaks. I would not lower the car and be FI either, if so just like eibach kit or min drop. I used the comptech sleeve in mine when I had the car and never had a problem.
i had mine to the track with stock drive line and launched it plenty of times at the track on drag radials and never had a problem... the car was makeing 634 hp and 450 torque when doing so... car went 10.0 at 135... i think ur fine.. its all in how u drive it
.
.
Of course, YMMV.
Differentials and trannies are weak links with the car.
You may last forever or you may break tomorrow.
Track and autocross guys break them with stock power, but that's with sticky tires and drag launches. Usually on the order of 500 launches or so.
I've broken two diffs. True upgrades to diffs / axles / tranny are expensive. For the casual street driver, probably makes sense to just keep used spares on hand and replace as needed.
And get AAA.

i got the triple AAA at least. lol. how much does all of this stuff end up costing to replace? jshhh
and lets say I do break the differential or w/e, are there good aftermarket replacements out there you recommend that is made for high HP/TQ cars that will simply last for as long as the car?
If the time comes I do end up breaking something, i would like to just buy a one-time-only performance/aftermarket replacement that will last the whole way through instead of replacing it with oem's and worrying about it happening all over again...
