Well I'm sure you could get a custom kit for $2k but don't forget to allocate 8K for the new engine when you blow your current one.

Turbo is not for the faint of heart. Cheap in the short run WILL be expensive in the long run. Spend the money to do it right or don't do it. You will regret it.

try www.turbonator.com it runs for a few bucks and 1psi!!!
Or spend 7400USD on a upgraded LoveFab kit (UEGO,gauges, intercooler ect.), 1300USD on the install, 880USD on a custom exhaust and ask your self if you are nuts or is it just me

welll, would it not be possible to peice a kit together for less than a "kit"?

for instance, get a good deal on a turbo (perhaps even used), have a muffler shop bend your piping (you doing the routing yourself) buying a used intercooler, or even one off of another car (mk3 supra anyone?) dsm blowoff valve or something else inexpensive, buying all the miscellaneous parts used (boost guage wastegate boost controller etc) and all of your own labor

seems the only really expensive thigns would be fuel management (probably EMS w/ UEGO), the turbo exhaust manifold, and tuning.

Check out my ad in the for sale forum https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...=ultimate+turbo

I have a bunch of Ultimate Racing turbo parts. Some brand new and some a little used. For $1350 for the slightly used items, all you would need to complete the kit is an intercooler, piping, blow off valve, and engine management. Or you could have all the used and the new for $2000.

It really depends on your definition of "sufficent power"...

Cheapest is usually to piece on together...
