I agree. Cleanest install I have ever seen also. I saw this car at Hot Import Nights and took a million pictures of it.

This is not too shaby either. Too bad it is a one of a kind prototype.

Oh man, I remember that one...that's the prototype turbo kit by Bell Engineering, right? What ever happened to it's development?

Bell? or was it Elda engineering. I thought their shop had closed for good?
Last time I heard from them, they stated the already had a bunch of manifolds produced but they never showed up anywhere.

Very clean set-up regardless!!

As I recall, it was going to be marketed under Elda Engineering, but designed and developed by Bell Engineering.

A lot of thought went into designing this airbox. Unlike most turbo kits that uses a cone filter placed inside the engine bay drawing hot air that passes has already pass through the radiator and/or intercooler, this airbox is a true cold-air setup.

The airbox has 13-sides, designed to hold the largest production cone air filter available--i believe it's used on offshore racing boats. The airbox draws air in from dual 3" neoprene racing brake duct hoses, via the top of the intercooler. This means that the air coming into the airbox has not pass through the intercooler or radiator, hence it's a cold air box. The mammoth filter has a 6" opening, mounted to a velocity stack that tappers down to 4" before passing through the 4" intake tube, connected to the compressor inlet.

Everything on this turbo setup is not only designed for form, but first and foremost to be functional.

the custom vertical flow dual pass intercooler design also allows us to make the upper and lower intercooler piping as short as possible to reduce turbo lag.
