Default clutch advice for supercharged 2002 s2k

Looking for some advice on which brand of clutch and stage to go with for my car.

I am running a stock setup with the exception of the comptech supercharger, tein springs, and a comptech strut bar. I do plan on more upgrades in the near future. I have had the supercharger on for close to 9 months now and the stock clutch did not last very long with the extra load of power. So its time for a upgrade since spring is around the corner and my S2k deserves better.

Now I have read a lot of posts about this subject but still have yet to figure out what I should go with. I am looking for something that will....

A. Hold the power and then some for future upgrades

B. One that will not kill my drive train

C. Will last

Pretty standard list but I will point out that I could careless about stiffness and as I learned how to drive stick on a 300zx tt with a RPS stage 3 clutch. So stiff you need to grab ahold of the wheel with two hands to engage the clutch. Needless to say my left leg was as tough as Chuck Norris's fists after a few weeks of driving that car. In my older age I would prefer something that is not that extreme but if it gets me A B and C then I will deal with it.

I have read that most do not like ACT with a supercharged setup. I am leaning towards a Clutch Master stage 3 clutch. I loved my ACT I had on my 93 prelude but to many negative posts about that brand has made me want to do some more review. What about a lightweight flywheel on a supercharged setup??? Are there gains?

Any of you guys running a comptech setup want to share some insight on this subject or maybe point me to some threads I may have over looked?

Thanks in advance

But if you are looking for down the road, Stage 3 should be fine...I am still on my stock clutch with no problems.

Yeah after reading about the kraftwerks supercharger setup I think i will go with the ACT HD. I really liked how my stage 3 ACT clutch felt on my vtec lude.

I still would like to hear what other comptech owners have to say but I am two clicks away from ordering the ACT. I have waited a few months to just research this so I guess I can wait a little longer before ordering.

you could also look at the clutchmasters stage 2 clutch. its 690 shipped from importhorizon.com. should work just as well. i have had the act setup that is a disc and holds 390tq in my h22 powered hatch and i liked it a lot. that setup is 500 beans from ebay. eitherone will hold the power and last decent, of course depending on your driving style.

Yeah... I just do not know if I want to spend a extra 200 bucks for the clutchmaster never owning one. I know if RPS made one I would have already got one from them. I had such a love/hate relationship with my Z but that clutch was nice....

Plus she was my first time.

You always remember your first time....

Most where older. Now ACT has stages of clutches for the s2000. I did not know that till reading more recent posts and checking out ebay.
