Default CLUTCH MASTERS

Has anyone tried this clatch by CLUTCH MASTERS?
If so how brutal is the stage 4 with the 6 puck.
I had the stage 3 on my VW and it was better than stock.

I'm going turbo with plans for 550 whp

I've had clutchmasters before. I've installed it on another S2000 and was pretty good. PM the price they quote you, let me see if I can get you a better price.

Are there any problems with the clutch disengaging at high RPM?

why would they have that problem? Do you mean slipping?

CM has a few different levels, I believe the one's that I used had 700 or 800 lbs over stock, which is a lot.

I have the FX300 and it feels great and I have close to 400WHP without slippage. But I am going to sell it soon to get the ironman. But was an excellent clutch and felt easier than stock to drive if that is possible!

You're right, I noticed it almost felt softer.

I have a FX400 on my car,It felt nice when installed but soon after few days it came to be a ON-OFF clutch with no Play for normal start ...need to be learned how to start from a standstill and it grabs so hard,...
Need to be driven few 1000 miles to be softer but still hits hard..so hard.
I am thinking of getting the disk from the FX300 to chage the 6puck one from the 400. It was so smooth on the start but it went to a on off clutch...i changed the clutch fluid to see if it would change anything.but nothing.
Also what i noticed,i tought it was the tranny but it seems its the clutch, the clutch has loud chattering sound when driven on cruse and deleleraton, once u punch the gas it is ok but its so loud u think the tranny will fall apart and it so dissapointing.
the thing is i tried mailing Clutchmasters about this and no reply,.
Hey Chairmnoftboard can you quote me on the friction disk from the FX300 and if i can use it on the FX400?
at stefce@hotmail.com
cheers.

I spoke to Clutch Masters last night about the stage 4
They say that if I take the stage 4 full disc insted of the 6 puck, the engagement will be softer and still with the same power holdeng capability.
As I said befor I hade the stage 3 on my VW with about 400 whp and it was the best, but I dont think that my power expectations of 550rwhp can handel a stage 3
Another thing that I'm worried about is the noise that you have, do you think it's becuase of the disc being a 6 puck.
