Default Clutch recommendation

Well since my clutch is about to go what clutch would you recommend for about 600-700whp on E85? I have no idea on how much torque I will be making, but what would yall recommend? Please no puck style clutch as I had one on my old full race setup.

Thanks

Robert

Once your at the 600-700whp e85 hp level the only streetable clutch are twin disc clutches. I would run a competition twin disc. A puck style single disc may hold the power but it is not daily drivable for a street car in day to day traffic.

^^ Correct, at that power level, you'd be fine with a Comp twin setup, and the 6puck may hold for awhile, but its not really suitable for street driving, especially stop and go traffic. If your looking for a twin, we at jjautowerks sell them as well.

I'm running a CC stage 4, 6 Puc disc on my 485whp set up. Yes it took a little bit of getting used to in traffic but I'd rather learn to drive it in traffic then spend the extra grand.. (I reused my stage 2 pressure plate and just purchased the disc)..

Now I know where the bite point is and have learned to slow my clutch lift down the clutch is perfectly fine for street driving.. I use mine as a daily in the summer and it sees allot of traffic driving..

I intend to turn the boost up to 600whp mark next month once I have my aero and new brakes sorted so will let you know if it holds.. Feels rock solid now and cheap as chips to replace when the time comes..

I had a spec mini twin. I went to a comp 6 pick after owning the twin and I'm not looking back at all. I love it.
