Thumbs up Clutch starting to go?

Hey fellas, I noticed today in 1st ill floor it, and seems like it isnt moving as "solidly" as it has been. Motor sounds good boost is building fine, just feels like the car is not "using" all of the available power.

In 6th at low RPM I put the pedal all the way down and the revs dont build faster then the car is moving, I think thats a test to see if clutch is going??

anyway I have 80,000miles on the car, OEM clutch, 10,000 of which have been boosted.

Go on a slight incline at very low speed in 6th gear, if the rev climb faster then the car is accelerating you know its starting to slip (is that what you were trying to say?)

Also if you floor it in first or second, if the revs shoot to redline without the tires spinning, again the clutch is slipping.

^not really. if you remove the oil relocation bracket bolts from the frame (filter side), remove the intake arm pivot bolt, and the two couplers (intake flapper and charge pipe) it will allow you to drop the engine enough to do the clutch install.

haha I know, most of it is all in my head I guess, I mean I can bring the revs up to to 2,000RPMS, slip the clutch out then floor it and I can spin the tires, but sometimes I noticed the clutch slips....................

Sounds like your pretty hard on it, you really need a better clutch but drive aroud on if for a bit it might get better. Mine failed on the dyno at 4k. Look into the HTG kit or competition clutch or the stage 4 6puck.

I am actually not hard on the car at all, I guess thats why the clutch lasted 80k miles so far. I never really floor until the clutch is fully dis-engaged, and I never really go past 4,000rpms Daily driving
