Default coil #2 not fireing

I have aem ems 1012 and my car is boosted. had the car tuned last week and it was driving fine. Today morning, on my way home I got on the highway and when I was getting off the ramp and steped on it, it just gaged and started running funny.

I took it to my friends shop and they checked everything, spark plugs are good, coils look good, they all recive signal, power and have good ground. it all seems good, but its no fireing on #2 coil

Any help would be very helpfull,

Thank you

John

Change that coil and see if it runs well again!

Some did not work right off the get go. Faukengenius in the bay area bought his used and worked for a year or so then died. One day he couldn't start the car. Trying to diagnose it was a pain. We swapped a Stock ECU and his would fire up and run. Put the AEM in no start. I may have read it on the AEM forums about the bad drivers.

I'm sure you can send it to AEM to fix. Not sure if you'll be able to get it back with your MAP though.

swap the coil to a different cylinder to see if the issue follows it. I just went through this with my 1052, turned out it was an ecu issue

yes, we did swap them before and still same problem,
Called AEM earlier today, I need to send in my ems to have drivers changed, seems like its a common thing to go wrong. Guess problems will never go away.

1012's were notorious for the drivers going bad.
