Default COILS?

has anybody done hayabusa coils on there turbo setup???? i keep blowing one on highboost and it starts to misfire while cruising.....anybody experience this or any input on resolving this?

have you tried something like from MSD??
They have a lot a coils you can choose from I'm thinking of getting 4 of those Blaster SS coils

Not sure about the Hayabusa coils, but I remember reading a while back where fperra installed CBR954 coils on his setup. He also used an AEM C2DI CD Ignition box. If I remember correctly, there was some "minor" work needed to get the setup to work, as the coils were shorter than the factory setup.

thanx for the link! my high boost is about 14-15 lbs and i already changed 1 coil on today i have a nother misfire so im gonna swap coils again i put new plugs but wasnt that

I ran 16psi fine with stock coils.
I had a few overboost to around 20psi and the car ran fine too without any misfire.

What plugs are you using and how big are the gaps?

Regarding fperra's setup, I tried it. The heat shrink tubing melted after a couple of hours of driving, leaving me stranded. I also tried high temp heat shrink without success. Fortunately, I left the stock setup in place, as fperra described. So I was able to put the stock coils back in and get home.

Due to the unreliability, ended up using external MSD racing coils and plug wires with an MSD DIS-4. This setup is bulletproof! I am able to run without misfire using stock plug gaps at over 20 psi.

Regarding the AEM CDI, I also had reliability issues. After trying three AEM CDI's that all failed, I went to the MSD DIS-4 without any problems. I believe the AEM CDI could be a slightly better product than the DIS-4, but they had some serious reliability problems over the last year.

My experience is that the stock coils ran reliably up to 450-475 rwhp given some coaxing and tight plug gaps.

I am using Denso Iridium IK-24's at the stock gap running ~22 psi.
