K-Pro is a factory ECU that is reprogrammable. A piggy back is something that tries to manipulate the factory ECU to do things. You can run boost tables, nitrous tables and things like that with K-Pro. EMS is to customize-able, its a pain to tune, and the K-Pro is more user friendly.

Think of it this way, Honda had a lot more money to build a computer, AEM only spent a fraction of that and is designed to be run on multiplie engine types.

Yeah im not really knocking it, but I think AEM is just as good. My car runs perfectly & for 1/2 the cost. The tuning issue inst a big deal because I pay someone to tune it for me

Hey for 75% of the cost new as K-Pro, AEM can get the job done. Its pretty good but I grew tired of it.

In other news, whats up with the OPs first dyno sheet posted, why is it 14 afr lean for a full 1,000 RPM?

Torque Obsessed,

Which part of Georgia are you in? I've been looking at a Science of Speed Kit and I'd love to take a ride if you wouldnt mind.

@Rain H8R, thanks for catching that. I was thinking, isn't 14 AFR really high? I should be concerned about that, shouldn't I? I'm guessing there's some tweaking left to do now that VTEC has been moved lower.

@Tuner Eddy, I'm in the north Atlanta suburbs. PM me if you're close and we can meet somewhere. Are you going to the Varsity meet? I think it's this weekend.

I'm planning to keep the E-manage unless something goes wrong with it... More curious about whether to move my battery back into the stock location. Kinda wondering if having it in the trunk could reduce power.

You really should be concerned about that. You should be at your target AFR the entire rpm range when on WOT. Also, I know you may not have the issue. But on 518135s sos build, we had to hardwire the fuel pump because the walbro 255 HD couldnt keep up with 9k rpm and the 1200sl with a 3.0in pulley. The voltage taperred off at high rpm. So if you relocate you may want to consider this. Keep in mind your entire car may need to be retuned. But as far as relocating it, you should reduce power at at....

Torque,

I won't be at the varsity meet, I will be at the Montgomery meet on the 23rd. I am in Atlanta about every other month. Maybe we can get together.

Good thread, interesting to see if the CAI actually does yield power in a good scenario.

interesting idea, but i'm not sure how much actual airflow there is into that area? maybe try a small vent on the inside of the fender liner that separates the radiator area from the sides.

I'm no expert but isn't Flashpro better than the Kpro?
