Default Cometic Head Gasket suggestion

Dear everyone haha,

I am running the 3.2" pulley by science of speed on my ap2. The pulley is roughly 11-12LBS of boost on the 2.2L. It was suggested to get a lower compression headgasket. They suggest running a .74" thickness while the stocker is .30" . It would lower compression 9:8:1 which is damn low for this car. Please advise for you guys boosted higher on Supercharger kits if you did this or ran like a .45" or .50"?

i ran a 3inch pulley (14psi) with a 3mm headgasket. I made around 370-380whp with a stock header, and berk 63mm testpipe and tlr 63mm single. The torque actually started to taper off around 8500rpms on my setup. In hindsight, i probably would have run a 9.8:1 setup like yourself!

another guy with a similar setup, with the main difference being 2 less pounds of boost made 390whp, but less torque!

In the process of installing a 2mm with 3.8" vortech pulley myself. Seems like the best compromise between reliability and power.

Now wondering since its the f22c, if running a .60 is better than the .74. What are your thoughts?

3.8 should get 13-14psi but that all depends on individual setups. The 2mm headgasket will yield a 9.8:1 compression on both the F20 and F22

3.8" is not 13-14 at all even at 9K. Your looking at about 8-9psi tops

Regardless,

I am still wondering who has ran a smaller head gasket aka .060 or smaller. Stock is .030"

bublik - I have a vortech which are different pulley diameters than comptech. I am making 7 right now on a 5.0" pulley. 3.8" will be much more than 8-9psi

who makes a 2mm headgasket?

Would this be beneficial running 10-11 psi? with a supercharger
