Default Competition stage 4 clutch issue

Hi guys.
Just wanted to find out if anyone can confirm if CC use the same pressure plate for its stage 2 to stage 5 clutch kits.

I just bought a stage 4 - 6 Puk ceramic kit - did the proper 500 mile run in and the thing slips like crazy through gear changes. I ask about the pressure plate as my concern is that the box the kit came in had a a label with stage 2 on it, but the CC agent says I should ignore the label. I can confirm that the disk is a stage 4 ceramic disk, but the PP - I dont know.

I have doubts about being bullshitted by these okes.
Can anyone please confirm???

Thanks

Break-in on the CC pucks are a 300 mile recommended break-in if I remember right. I was told that break-in is not as important with a puck clutch as a street disc or organic disc. My CC 6 puck is holding fine with 356wtq and I only did a 300 mile break-in.

Somethings wrong here.

Mine works fine, something is wrong with yours

I believe the pressure plates on these kits aren't very high since it's the clutch design / material that makes it able to hold high amounts of torque (not the pressure of the pressure plate). That's why the clutch is lighter than stock.

Torque is around 264nm with 301whp.
I have a brand new flywheel so it cant be that.

CC says that I should check the pedal adjustment - ????
Any advise - thanks

that is well within spec for that clutch. did you do a new oem flywheel or a new CC flywheel?

yes you can adjust pedal, but your supposed to adjust it to service manual spec. from what i have heard, your best bet is to mate the CC clutch with a CC flywheel.

but yes, make sure your pedal is adjusted right cuase there is no way that clutch should be slipping with that kinda power.

Definitely check your clutch pedal adjustment! It may not be fully dis engaging if the pedal is adjusted too far down in its travel.

Did you spray the new flywheel down with brake clean before installing it? They come with a oily film on them to prevent rust/corrosion.

Its not a CC flywheel - had it made by Full Race Engineering - they are an engineering shop local in SA.

Yip - thats the word - mate CC clutch to CC flywheel. But I just spent money on one.
How would I go about adjusting or checking the pedal?
