Default compression results

I did a compression test on my car to get ready for turbo after i took the sc off and my results were

245, 250, 255, and 268

is that good or bad?

I would think if its all even across the cyclinder that would be ideal.

any suggestions or comments would be great

thx guys.

if the numbers are within 10% of each other, the motor is considered to be healthy. There can still be issues even with good compression numbers, and a leakdown test would be helpful to know for sure, but i wouldnt worry with those numbers.

Those numbers look good. Are you going to be installing a 3mm HG?

People here will probably think I'm crazy, but yes there is such a thing as enough!

No argument here. Over many years and several vehicles I've dealt with burned clutches (several), broken motor mounts, stripped ring gears, blown head gaskets, broken piston rings, spun bearings, broken rod bolts (particularly nasty results). I am now quite happy with moderation in power adders.

The problems were with previous cars and bikes I've hopped up, some turbo, some supercharged, some NA.

After driving around for 2 weeks with the Greddy Turbo, I have carefully recorded the change in premium gas mileage in comparison to having the ability to pass without changing gears, and I can confidently say I have no intention on trying to pass 300whp. I'm just not interested. I have to drive this car every single day in various conditions, and it is almost where I need it to be. Of course, I have 4.56r gears and that alone lowered my mileage. Its even worse now, and I don't want to go lower.

i am getting 24-25mpg on the highway and around 20 in town, with a turbo. And im WOT alot! And my A/F's are a bit rich and need a bit of tuning (im getting retuned in novemeber). Going turbo, if tuned specifically for your vehicle, doesnt have to negatively effect your day to day driving, at least in my experience

This shows how everything in life is relative. These are exactly the same fuel mileage numbers that I'm getting now, and my comment was I'm not interested in going any lower than that.
