Default Compressor Surge

My Tial 50 mm is driving me CRAZY with flutter surge at partial throttle and at medium throttle. It only blows off at full throttle lift. I have changed springs and it leaks at partial throttle and will not stay closed unless full throttle. UGHH. I just bought the synchronic last night and will post up differences.

I started this post as everything I had read about the Tial 50 mm BOV showed that the fluttering compressor surge was difficult to fix. I had tried a couple of the spring changes and vacuum source changes and no go. Finally installed the synchronic and wow, what a difference.

I installed mine today. HUGE difference over Tial BOV. No compressor surge anymore and no fluttering. Holds boost to 28 psi with no probs and opens instantly on throttle lift. No partial throttle flutter blow off or anything. Absolutely what I was looking for.

This is the new style with internally built port c (boost only) and large mounting screws. Used the adapter for the Tial mount and installed it in 10 minutes. Perfect.

Thoughts? Questions?

only thing i dont like about mine is the tiny tiny mounting screws....so maybe they fixed that on the newer one? (you said it has large mounting screws)
other than that it works as a bov should, no complaints here.

^ you have the older version of the Synchronic BOV. The newest revision all come with larger allen head bolts and with port C built in, like the one OP has.
