Comptech belt tightening
Going in for my first dyno tommorow to make sure my afr's are good.
How do I make sure the belt it tight? I read somewhere that you have ot re tighten the belt after you install it.

Huh? You check it after about 300 to 500 miles and tighten "if necessary". Too many people have over-tightened the belt thinking "tighter is better, so tighten it up some more". This usually leads to shredding the belt and tearing your engine compartment to pieces.
If you're worried about it, "check it" but tighten it only if it needs it.

Ok. so another member said.
"basically, standing on the driver side of the car, grab the long part of the belt there and twist it. you should be able to get 1/4 turn out of it with moderate force, but you should have to push at it pretty hard to get it to turn past 1/4."
So I do that and the belt can easily turn 90 degrees. But after that it's pretty tough.
So I'm assuming that the belt is ok.
