Default comptech bracket installation

I'm installing my used comptech kit. When i started the car the belt started squeaking loud, i turned off the car and saw the that supercharger tensioner belt is not aligning up correctly with the Crank pulley. I have checked the bracket and it has the bushing on each side.

Do i need to put an extra spacer on the long bottom bolt or something like that for it to align? If so what kind of spacer or washer? Also where does the big 10mm washer go?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Pictures would be helpful.

Its common that the bushing will compress and wear out... or a bushing missing ....or the blower mounting plate where the bushings reside have worn a recess, causing the bushings to be sunk and throwing alignment off. Any of these are possible, but without looking at it, I couldn't tell you. As long as you have verified that you have all the steel inserts/rubber bushings on both sides of plate, it may just be a case where you need to add some customized shimming to a few bushings to get the belt strait. Your local hardware store may come in handy. I found valve spring shims to be the perfect inner and outer diameter to use as shims.

You would think that after taking mine off and putting it on about a dozen times I would remember...but alas. I do not remember the idler pulley being so far away from the mount...in the pic it looks like it is 2 or 3 inches from the mount...I don't remember that on mine?

As far as that big washer??? Don't remember that at all either.

I see a few problems in your big pic with your tentioner. First i see a stack of washers under that bolt because it looks like it ground down a recess in plate as I described previously, pulling the bushing inside the mount, so look at this, this may be where that other steel bushing goes as it looks like one side of a bushing. Also something screwy is going on with your tentioner position, it looks backwards and there is some weird looking wad of rubber or something jammed behind it against the block side. I think you need to look at some pictures of a proper set up. Did you not get instillation directions with kit?

That spacer isn't part of the kit. It was probably used as a make shift spacer to either re align the plate, or shorten the length of a mismatched mount bolt that may be too long.

Sorry I don't have a manual.
