Default Comptech FPR

To get the A/F on the richer side, you need to turn the adjustment on the FPR clockwise,

1)If the FPR is pre-set by comptech for a 5.5 PSI , how many clockwise turns you need for 7psi ?

2)Is there any linear maths on the adjustment. i.e 3 turns will give you 1 A/F richer and 6 turns will give 2 A/F richer and so on?

Thanks

The safe way to adjust the FMU is on a dyno. With a wideband 02 sensor, and a fuel pressure gauge hooked up to the FMU or fuel rail.

You cannot quantify the number of turns on the FMU with A/F ratios. This would be shear folly. Even Comptech themselves, when they do this, it is done on a dyno and confirmation must be obtained after a run. It is a "best guess" and trial and error.

i turned the FPR adjust knob 6 clockwise turns but still running lean. I am logging with a wideband but not on a dyno, I WOT on 3rd gear up to redline.
I will start playing with my e-manage injector map to get richer.

Thanks

These are the results with 6 clockwise turns A/F Graph(purple) Vs Target A/F Graph(red)

And there you have it - my point, that is.
On a friend's Comptech car, after the 7 psi pulley was installed at the Comtech factory, it only took 2 full turns to get the A/F right. Each car is different.

I think my car only took 1 turn if I recall right. It would be nice if the FPR was more elegant and had a nice dial on it like a torque wrench . You could just put the 'needle' for the amount of boost you intend to run. This just isn't how the FPR works.

BTW, that's looking a bit lean Trip.

Did Comptech do the tuning for you?

Did the boost increase make enough of a difference to *feel*?

Is it possible to go to an 8 or 9 lb. pully without additional engine controls? Will Comptech do higher boost pullies as well?

Thanks!
This was for a friend whom I was visiting at the time and yes, it was done by Comptech at their factory NE of Sacramento. The "upgrade" gave another 20 whp.
I can't answer your last question, sorry.

Comptech won't give you a smaller pulley, you have to go to Drew at Tech2's to get it. You do need larger injectors and fuel management otherwise you will run very lean.
