Default Comptech Maintenance

I have the CT SC w AC. I am not having any problems. I was wondering what I should be checking on a regular basis. Should I be checking anything with the AC?

I searched and looked at the FAQs but did not find anything
Thanks

Mike

From ~50K miles of mostly trouble-free SCed abuse/use:

1)Change your oil before it turns black and offers your engine significantly less protection. Depending on your style of driving, this may be long before the standard 3000 mile period. Monitor any consumption.
2)Clean/replace your air filter element.
3)Check/change plugs
4)Check belt for wear and tightness. Carry a spare.
5)Check transition hose clamps for tightness, aftercooler fluid level, and brackets for cracking.
6)Check valve clearances.
7)Periodically have oil analyzed, check compression and leakdown to see how the engine is dying slowly.

1. Check all your bolts on the bracket to make sure they have not backed out. If they do you will most likely loose bushings also.

2. Check transistion hose and look for oil leaks.

3. Check oil levels

4. Change plugs

5. Check aftercooler fluid level

Depends on what plugs you have.

I wrote a small guide line:

Don't let milage determine your intervals. You should visually inspect your plugs at every oil change and make sure they are still in good shape.
