I have a ap1 s2000 with a comptech supercharger and just bought a 3.8" pulley not knowing more info like an idiot. My car has 49k miles on it and does not smoke out the back at all when at full throttle. I was just wondering about the longevity of my motor with this many miles and if it will be ok with the new pulley. If anyone has some info for me that would be great i appreciate it.

There are S2000s that have exceeded 100,000 miles with a comptech supercharger at stock boost. Considering the pistons, rings, and cylinder walls are not designed for boost that is quite a feat.

Yeah i would say so! But as far as the 3.8" pulley on there is that a bad idea or is it not enough boost to really hurt the motor dramaticly i guess what im trying to say is if i do this pulley will the motor last me awhile before a rebuild? Sorry if i sound stupid but thats why im asking you guys.

That pulley will produce 8-9 psi on a AP1 where the stock 4.4" Comptech pulley is 5.5 psi. You will likely be maxing out the stock injectors. I would not run it without some form of engine management and larger injectors.

Yeah an EMS plus larger injectors would work well for you instead of the FMU. I don't see it being an problem for the engine though.

Do be tempted. Do it right...get some injectors and some form of engine management. A 3.8" pulley is too small to be run safely on the stock FPR.

What kind of injectors and ems do you suggest and im kind of on a budget

If you are on a budget then don't do it. Keep it like it is.

The marginal increase in power you will see (it won't be the same jump you felt going stock -> SC) is not worth the hassle of a broken car you can't afford to fix.

Though some cars have put lots of SC'd miles on the odo, how many of those miles did the internals actually see more than 2 psi of boost? Not many I expect.
