Default Comptech sc with aftercooler installed

The car is not really faster. I mean, under 6000 rpm it's even worst than before. After 6000 rpm I can feel a medium kick but not wheelspin, even on wet surface on first gear.... My only hope to fix this lack of performance is to install my Electronic Signal Modifier. Do you guys think that's gonna make a huge difference on my problem of lack of performance? I have everything else installed ( FPR, the compressor, the aftercooler... The fuel pump.) Someone can tell me if it's only as weak until I install my ESM? The fuel pump is a Walbro 255Liter per hour. The installation have been done by a mechanic.

You're kidding, right? Why would you even drive the car without the ESM. The ECU cannot see boost.

xviper, It was for a test drive to make sure that everything is okay. The performance concern comes after (and that's why I am posting this) since I am waiting for the ESM to finalize my setup. I just wanted to be sure that the lack of performance is due to the EMS thing. Can someone tell me?

so you bought the kit used, that made more sense now.

to answer your question, yes the esm is important to the SC set up. like Xviper said, the stock ecu cannot see boost, and your car will not run well without it. i'd strongly suggest you install the esm asap.

ESM hides boost. Without it the ECU will retard timing hence the lack of power.
