Default Comptech SC... extra parts?

I have a question for those running the comptech supercharger kit, I just bought a used kit for MY00 with larger 750cc RC injectors and AEM V2 engine management(with tune for the mods), novi 1220, 3.4in pulley. The Kit I got did not come with the Red Comptech fuel pressure regulator or comptech sport E.S.M.(little black box with wires) and in the comptech instructions it says the kit should have those two pieces, at least when running the original kit.

I called the seller and they said you do not need or want those two parts when running larger injectors and AEM (they did not use them). Can someone confirm this? Is it fine to run without the red comptech FPR and comptech sport E.S.M.(little black box with wires) , since im using AEM and 750cc injectors?

Thanks so much, Eric

Yes, the seller is correct. You are out of the scope of the factory designed system and no longer use that fuel regulator for fuel enrichment. The esm is obsolete as well.

Assuming you are installing the kit yourself, the best way to go is to hook up the kit minus the AEM EMS and larger injectors. Do these steps at the tuners, that way you can still drive your car there safely. Just make sure to leave the SC belt off as well for the trip over.

Yep, no need. new ECU will control everything once tuned.

All ESM does is hide BOOST from stock ECU.
Pressure regulator increases fuel pressure to keep AFR just ritch enough.

Great! so the comptech FPR is NOT needed?

I can run the stock FPR since I have the AEM V2 controlling all of the fuel ? He already has a tune for his kit and i will have the exact mods as he did so i believe I will just be able to plug and play ... im sure down the road I will need a little more tuning but for now it should be safe to drive correct?

Thanks!!! Eric

Correct you DO NOT need the FPR. I would definitely get the car retuned once you install it all before getting on it at all. Might have same or similar mods but all cars act differently so not safe to run the ecu without a tune first.

RETUNE, seriously dude, don't mess around. Tune? $700 in my area. Blown engine? $5000 installed maybe?

You do the math.

I have one last question. Can the stock fuel setup with walbro 255 pump and rc 750 cc inj. Flow enough fuel with no other parts? Is my stock fpr going to create a bottle neck? Or can it flow enough ?
Thanks Eric

That is all you need. Stock fuel rail is perfectly fine for it.
