Default Comptech SC installed and dynoed !

Just got my Comptech SC installed ( bought it used from another member) with 5lbs pulley. Everything else is stock except sub box and 18" wheels, replaced Comptech fpr with a different fpr unit, dynoed on very very humid day. Result 248whp , 156lb torque. OK, so let me know what yall think of this number ?. To be honestly i'm a little disappointed.

my AF : 12.5 at around 6-8k , 11.0 at 9k

Was it hot as hell and really humid? You seem to be down a bit on power...although I'm not very familiar with dyno's with stock exhausts...could you be choking your setup? 11.0 and 9k rpm is kinda rich man. I'm sure that's hurt you a bit. Do you have a dyno sheet we can see?

Does it seem to you that he's a bit down on power? I am just trying to come up with an explanation.

i thought a SC on stock would be around 280rwhp.. does it have to do with a 5lb pulley.. i thought the Comptech came with an 8lb pulley.. i'm not that knowledgeable, just repeating what I have read..

Do you have a baseline on that same dyno before adding the charger? That is honestly the only way to compare your numbers. Heat will play a role too but not 40 whp.

5 lbs. is quite low. Do you also have the aftercooler?

I've got 5 years of experience with the Comptech SC on an AP1. I tried two aftermarket exhausts and neither resulted in an increase in torque or hp.

I have never seen any SC results that show that an exhaust or header improved output over the stock header/exhaust. Have you?
Which parts are you talking about here? A lot of the older guys (people that have had their car for years and years) don't believe that aftermarket bolt ons make power. Dual exhausts barely do anything, and all headers up to this point have been "midrange" headers that actually lose horsepower on N/A setups.

The larger header applications (megan, J's, Hytech) make good top end power. Single exhausts with larger diameters also make nice top end power.

There are a lot of guys now able to make 230 rwhp with just bolt ons and simple tuning. You just have to have the right parts.

Trust me, the stock exhaust is not hurting you but the cat might.

That sounds about right. Mine dyno'd a little higher with stock pulley CTSC w/ AC but not by much.
