Default Comptech SC mount plate - cracked

Hi,

I'm running a Comptech SC Kit and am having a couple issues.

I have one of the original mounting plates which was supplied before they made the changes to plate and installed rubber bushes. Mine has now started to crack like most of the original did, so I need a new plate.

I've contact Comptech who want $800 to make me a one off new one as they no longer make them.

There is no way I'm paying that for one so I could do with some pictures or a drawing of the new plate so I can get one made. So I don't suppose anyone has any?

If not, I might just upgrade to the 1200 blower and mount plate from SOS.

Thanks

Jim I would be more than willing to help you out but unfortunately I would need an actual mount plate (or similar N1000 mount plate) in my hands in order for me to reverse-engineer it and make another one. And I have a good feeling that if you had a plate in your hands, you would be able to do the same thing yourself.

I have the Novi 1200/1220 conversion on my old Comptech kit and I must say, it sounds like its time for an upgrade!

I could probably come up with something fairly soon.

Even if you did want to upgrade, Comptech included another mount on the vtec block which is the reason for the extra hole on the newest front plate. All the newer mounts are now shorter as well to compensate for the isolater bushings.

Doesn't offer money for old Novi 1000s?

You just can't buy the new upgrade bracket and supercharger and be bolt on. First the mounting points are different and shorter then you need to buy the bushing kit (expensive) for the new bracket and supercharger. I would just weld the old one or bring it to a machine shop so they can copy it.

Thanks for all the advice.

I'm just going to copy the original design at the moment until I want to upgrade. I'll make one at work.
