Default Comptech SC question. Just installed

I just installed a Comptech Supercharger on my duece today. Its a novi 1000, no aftercooler just 6psi. Red Fmu, pretty much the basic kit. I also installed a comptech header, wideband Uego guage, and got a boost guage to monitor. I am having some problems when it gets into boost. It wants to bog and doesnt seem like it wants to move untill a certain point in rpms. I took this directly of another s2 and bolted everything i needed on mine. I know it might need to be tuned, No ems yet. But what do u guys suggest with the FMU, i dont have a fuel pressure guage so i dont want to make any random adjustment. I will eventually get an EMS, but for now i wanna be able to enjoy the car. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

-Gabe

It hides boost from the map sensor which is needed for the SC to work properly.

would I have the same problem if I got a factory new Vortech Supercharger, or the kit would come with all necessary hardware/software?

Vortech has a "blackbox" which is the same thing as comptech's ESM. If you bought the unit new, it should come with one.
