How dependable is the charger with stock engine? I used to own a stock ap2 (2007) but never in my life a car with a supercharger.


I am looking to buy this car (2005) with the comptech supercharger at @ 5 psi.

What do I need to look for, smell, etc .

wow thats realy cheap for an 05 supercharged. I would definatley have the car checked out. Could be he's just hurting for cash. Other than that, its very reliable. I have had my 01 supercharged for 3 years now and never had any issues. I would have it tuned as soon as i bought it tho. I bought my Supercharger used and was told it was a 7lbs pulley. when i went to get dynoed It put down 10lbs. i didnt get it tuned right away and i had no guage so i was running really lean for a while. As when buying any used car, have it checked out. Good luck

base psi and good afr, the comptech is solid for stock...

 

I am running 10.5lbs of boost on an otherwise stock engine. Drive it everywhere and hours away at a time. Just change your oil regularly and you are good.
