Default comptech supercharger intake hose

The hose that goes from the supercharger to the intake box is touching the radiator and it is starting to make a hole on it. Do you guys have any problems with it? if so how do you fix it?

Where do they sell that hose?

A common issue as I understand it. I took a razor blade and shaved away a bit of the plastic radiator fan shroud that was touching the intake elbow. You could buy a new intake elbow from CT Engineering, or look for used ones to pop up on here. I ended up replacing my intake elbow and airbox completely with some custom silicone intake elbows.

I like the look of the SOS air intake better than the CF air box/intake elbow from CT, plus my CF airbox was looking kinda rough and didn't match anything else in my car. So I took a 90 degree and 45 degree silicone elbow, trimmed them to fit, and coupled them with a tube coupler then reused the cone-shaped air filter adapter from the CT kit and my AFE filter that I replaced the CT foam filter with. Finished it off with some t-bolt clamps.

I have been considering converting it into a cold air setup now that I have my low-profile fans in and have gained some clearance to where I can run the air intake down into the bumper cavity. Several members have set up a cold air intake with their SOS/CT kits.

Will you gain from a cold air setup tho? Since the air gets heated up from the blower anyways before it passes the aftercooler ....I thought about it but didn't think it would really make a difference.

You want the coolest air available. There are air passages on the passengers side both through the fender and next to the radiator.
IMHO, the best location for an underhood intake.

Not a Comptech but maybe helpful:

The filter is sticking through the inner fender about an inch.

Yeah I'm using the comptech air box and afi filter so its by the hole in the fender but would putting a cold air intake really net you any more power with a SC setup. I see some guys just run a filter right off the blower.

The colder the air is going in, the colder it will be coming out (of the blower). I would expect to see a few HP gain with a CAI vs the standard SOS/CT filter location. Heat soak of the filter may be more easily avoided as well.
