Hi group,

My Comptech Supercharger is making a sound like a chain intermittently dragged -- it is definitely a metallic sound, and it appears to originate from the pulley. Almost like a little hammer is hitting something over and over.

Any ideas?

They normally make noise. A sound clip would help a lot.

 

Does it go away when you rev the engine??? They do make noise so it is normal should go away when you rev it up.

 

I believe the noise may go away.

I will try to get a sound clip this evening, but the sound is almost identical to a small hammer hitting something metallic about 1000 times a minute or more.
